Our Story
Rooted in Griggstown. Growing for the Community.
Stable Roots Farm is a family-owned and operated farm located along historic Canal Road in Griggstown, New Jersey.
Our current chapter here began in 2020, when we started putting new roots down on an established farmstead with an early-20th-century farmhouse, barn, and open agricultural land.
What started with bees, chickens and a commitment to caring for the land has grown into a diverse, working family farm. Today, Stable Roots offers locally harvested wildflower honey, farm-fresh eggs, seasonal flowers, beeswax goods, premium seasoned firewood and other useful products and services shaped by the seasons.
We believe a local farm should serve its neighbors, respect its surroundings, and remain closely connected to the surrounding community.
Whether we are tending our hives, gathering eggs, growing flowers, preparing firewood or working with other local farmers, our goal is to provide dependable products while taking thoughtful care of the land that produces them.
Stable Roots is part of a much larger agricultural story. For generations, the fertile fields, mills and waterways of Griggstown and the Millstone Valley have supported farmers, families and local businesses. Canal Road has connected those farms and communities since the 18th century, while the nearby Delaware and Raritan Canal once carried agricultural products throughout the region.
We are proud to continue that practical farming tradition—not by trying to recreate the past, but by giving an older farmstead a renewed purpose and building something lasting for the future.
Stable Roots Farm is where local products, responsible stewardship and community come together—one season, one harvest and one set of roots at a time.
